I apologize for getting around to these topics later on. I had been traveling and working on some other ventures–I still think there is commentary worth posting however! Please Enjoy
Weekly Weigh In: Venezuela is Wrecked, Norway Abolishes Private Property, Italy & France Chaos
With the next budget season not arriving until Q3, U.S. producers are currently committed to ongoing projects and contractual obligations. Venezuela’s oil faces uniquely difficult geology, low ultimate recovery rates, and severe infrastructure deficits after decades of neglect. Rampant corruption and logistical nightmares are not easily reversed, either.
At current oil prices, the massive capital required for meaningful production growth simply isn’t justified—I’ve seen one leading energy expert estimates it would take at least 3 years to double output. Unlike Canada, Venezuela has zero steam-assisted gravity drainage projects, meaning Venezuela is not “for the taking” its for the investing–to the tune of $1B USD with a waiting period of 36 months for any sort of production. Their existence output comes from cold production, reliant on polymers and diluents, more capital expenditure.
Put simply, you’ve seen militia’s already walk through downtown streets in Caracas with weapons. If you’re thinking about your nail salon, beach front property or heavy oil investment (although I love oil companies) in Venezuela, we’re far too early with respect to Venezuela. Maduro was simply the first domino, but we’re waiting for the whole picture to play out yet as the rest of the dominos fall into place.
Even in the small yet wealthy, relatively safe and free Norway… Europe continues its planned destruction with a seizure of assets under the guise of a war with Russia. Norway continues to miscalculate; first its introduction of an unrealized capital gains in conjunction with a wealth tax had sent billions directly to Switzerland–and now they’ve made the decision to end private property if the military deems it necessary.
Now the Norwegian state has the complete right to evict you from your property at random for state security interests.

With 105 votes in favor and one abstention, the Senate of the Republic authorized the head of the Federal Executive to enter the national territory of 19 elements of the United States Navy, to participate in a specialized training exercise, in collaboration with the Naval Special Operations Unit of the Secretariat of the Navy.
Members of the SEAL 2 Team of the US Navy will participate, from February 15 to April 16, 2026, in this exercise called “Improving the capacity of the Special Operations Forces”.
I’ve been warning against military escalation with Mexico for 2 years now–I now believe the United States are going to economically seek to conquer Mexico due to a myriad of debt, weak energy, collapsing state control, advancing narco networks (yet exposed to the United States), a hotbed of resources and to undermine China.
Italy don’t seem to like Israel in their Winter Olympics–one thing lead to another and:

Grenade Explosion injured Six in Grenoble Beauty Salon
The incident happened on Boulevard Gambetta in central Grenoble, a bustling shopping area, when a man hurled a grenade and fled with accomplices, as captured on surveillance and a video from apparent associates.
A video circulating claimed responsibility for ‘Fenec 38,’ an alleged Algerian gang. A 5-year old at the salon with his mother was one who was injured.
Another African who had pulled a knife on a bus was shot and killed by French police–by now this is far drowned out by other immigrant attacks in France.
Par for the course when you turn your country into an African colony.
