Weekly Weigh In: Serbia Step Down, Government Hacked!, Private Charters + Monday Core Quad

Serbia’s long-serving populist strongman, Aleksandar Vučić, admitted defeat and was effectively ousted from power by a grassroots, student-led protest movement following snap parliamentary elections. Interestingly, Vucic blamed the blamed his loss on independent media, unnamed European countries, and an “American deep state”

The meteoric rise of the Student List stems back to a 2024 tragedy at the Novi Sad railway station, where a newly reconstructed concrete canopy collapsed and killed 16 people. Allegations were made saying the USA was taking advantage of this by manufacturing a constant protest to overthrow the current government.

Students launched massive, long-running protests blaming the disaster on widespread government corruption, severe negligence, and secretive contracts with Chinese building firms. Over two years, the youth walked and biked thousands of kilometers to raise awareness.

Now…Serbia is currently transitioning into a temporary caretaker government, as no single person has officially taken over the permanent leadership yet. That’s the problems with revolutions and revolts–there’s never a plan once the event takes place.

Move Over Postpartum Depression…

A Phoenix mother accused of killing her young daughter and leaving her body in a dumpster scored a 53 on an initial IQ screening, according to a state appeals court ruling.

The score could spare Sophia Simmons from the death penalty.

Government Hacked!!

We are seeing a number of cases whereby hacks and system failures have occurred at an unprecedented rate and amount in just the last few months…conveniently at a time when the AI craze tried to scare the hell out of everybody and demand for immediate regulation (the perfect cover in explaining the crash to all those people who lost their jobs, lost their investments and their pensions who were invested in this hype).

In any case, the most recently I’ve come across is a hacker group known as the Department of Peace leaked personal details of more than 41,000 U.S. Department of Homeland Security personnel, prompting emergency offline efforts
