If the asset had gone up…you will owe 36% tax on that price increase, despite you selling nothing. This figure (whatever 36% amounts to be) will be owed regardless even if the value of your shares falls below the original purchase price–and remember, it assumes you sold nothing to take profits.
This is not only stupid and destructive, it calls that these are the end times for the Netherlands and the viability of Europe. It is being turned into a petting zoo–and all of the wealth is either leaving or being stolen by the apparatus of the state.
