Open Door Consultancy: Don’t Be Complacent; Get Moving
Perhaps you’ve read my article here, arguing that the same types of people occupying countries has been radically changed and therefore we can expect a fundamentally different outcome for the future:
But I’m not talking about this now, I’m talking about the question of the existing locals in Europe whether they’re willing to oppose the general trend their continent is heading; a trend that stems deeper than migrants or wealth taxes.
Shouted on Twitter
I remember posting about a massive protest in Ireland that happened about last year (of course, since then it’s been every other weekend with protests in the UK, France, Netherlands, Italy and so on–which I believe supports my point as you’ll read!). There was considerable enthuse and excitement regarding this protest, as though matters are finally going to change, and that all they needed to do was to unite on a Saturday when nobody was working and all of the changes of the last 20 years would be erased.
I said this was fantasy at best.
Furthermore, I argued that if I were the opposition (the central planners) I would in fact love such demonstrations because of its capacity to lure people to sleep. As long as I can convince people they think they’re winning, then they won’t make the adjustments necessary to actually defeat me. In reality, if people think that screaming with a megaphone, on their day off, and holding a flag, blocking traffic is really impacting laws, ports and foreign investment (items that truly change matters), then the central planners would be happy to allow them to live out this delusion.
More evidence of how soft the average European on the continent has become
With this said, I’ve still had conversations with Europeans who argue that the men who are 25 and younger, whether due to nihilism or otherwise, are “turning it around” and are to give rise to the necessary adjustments that the previous generation only pretends to have.
Problem with this
I believe that this too, may be a misguided idea. The difference in the younger crowd is that they are far more nihilistic, racist, less naïve, and let’s say negative in their beliefs of the future. This is not, nothing. This type of energy can move mountains if it’s orchestrated in the right direction. However, it’s simply not enough to fundamentally change course of this sinking European ship because to state the obvious, it’s complicated. Very smart, well-financed, motivated people all with the same ideology will be required.
Romans
There has been a resurgence of admiration regarding the power, orderliness and the sophistication of the Roman Empire and its leaders in recent years. It’s not surprising if someone would want world-renowned order to compensate for filthy chaos. However the saying Rome wasn't built in a day truly carries weight.
Roman society was extraordinary because of extraordinary men. Men who had their own distinct values but more importantly, their own independent skills. These men could cook, raise a child, fight, knew medicine, could read, write, had fantastic strength and endurance, they knew history, they argued and debated, they knew how to farm and so on. They were the Swiss-army-knife of men–and there were hundreds, thousands, 10s of thousands of them. Each of them whether it was the leader of the Empire or simply their heirs, had someone to look up towards and model after. They lived for something they valued larger than themselves.
The point here is that these were dangerous, powerful, efficacious individuals who demonstrated expertise and bravery on a significant scale [speaking of the beginnings of the Empire]. Each man would be who you’d regarded as someone who has it all, and can do it all.
Now compare and contrast that to an influential, overweight podcaster today who interrupts his messages to sell you discounts for Nord VPN. This individual, who may be admirable, is often unidimensional and therefore cannot easily solve problems outside of their domain. Furthermore, this person, is also making a living just like you and I–they have the same temptations of Netflix, Food Delivery, Sports Teams, OnlyFans, credit cards, financial gambling temptations and everything else–and they’re trying to rally men who also have those distractions.
I don’t see Roman soldiers when I see people throwing gas canisters at riot police. I see troubled people who don’t understand the plumbing.
The Plumbing
A further explanation as to why I don’t see Roman soldiers (the equivalent of), is because I don’t see actions taken place that truly matters–and that tells me nothing is truly serious.
As far as I can tell (and happy to have a discussion with you if you email in), the plumbing of the world around us is governed through two main factors; finance and law. Perhaps finance is even more important.

Law is the rulebook for every single transaction that is to take place between parties; it quite literally determines relationships of sex, of commerce, of construction, of travel, whatever. If you’re not operating on this level, which is to say the rulebook of governance–attempts at shouting are futile.
Finance is factor that enables a country to expand and shrink its economy, everything changes based upon a country’s access to credit, reserves and interest rates. Again without careful consideration of this, breaking bus stations is not doing anything in one’s favor. Ever notice these protests are never marching upon the Central Bank?

Everybody wants to replace the dictator but nobody knows what is to take its place thereafter
Mexico
To add fuel to the fire, I think we can look to Mexico as an indication of what’s to come. In Mexico, there have been numerous courageous people who have sought to stand up against the Narco Cartels (and I mean not just sending Facebook posts) but really taking action to them that hurts them and their objectives. What invariably happens is that their lives are ruined or they’re murdered, their families are killed or always living in fear and unfortunately they accomplish very little. Actually, regardless of what you think of him, another individual is Tommy Robinson in Britain.
This creates a sense of hopelessness whereby nobody wants to throw it all away, and live in as a banished peasant if the rewards aren’t going to be justified.
Aimless Ants in Numbers
Having said all of this, I believe we will hit a tipping point, where the flag carrying Karens, march side by side with hardcore communist or Nazi teens as they do hit a threshold where the risk:reward balance appears to be far more appealing to “risk it all”. When they truly feel and act like they have nothing left to live for; when the You'll own nothing and be unhappy slogan comes true, then we should expect some very dangerous fireworks to appear.
But this isn't a good thing. This just means we’re going from futile actions to piling bodies on either side of the street with no clear path forward in sight and more violence coming. This means that anarchy is taking over and everything around begins to stop working; the beautiful Europe looks like the Arab spring. My point in mentioning this is that I believe that the continent of Europe will worsen (not improve as a friend suggested) and as a result of the worsening hit this tipping point of pure violence.
My question to you is: Do you want to be living there while this is going on?
Closing
So, while this sounds like I am also falling into the nihilism trap too– I want to make the argument that there is still a losing position of staying on the continent and pretending that anything useful (to date) has been done; whether nothing changes or it changes in a gory way–it’s best to avoid this entirely.
I believe it’s much better to grapple with the situation in front of us and make calculated informed decisions than to pretend “help is on its way”. Help is available if you’re serious about making proactive changes.

We are now in a period where any sort of protest back or call to “stay and fight” is a waste of time at best and a sense of complacency sacrificing the next generation at worst. I do not see huge numbers efficacious men and women in the West, although mostly picking on Europe, to change the course of history. Instead, there are a growing number of negatively minded, testosterone-filled people who are ready to be unleashed. I don’t want to see you being caught in the middle of this inevitably violent situation. Get in touch.
