Syria was not a victory, it was a Trap
Think for a Moment
The cheers that resonate through the United States and West Europe seem too “shallow” and “simple”. Again, another reason why you should pick up our free newsletter because if the mainstream propaganda goes one way in a rapid decision, we’re inclined to question it immediately and provide our investigative take.
This is the same Assad regime that managed to push off destabilization attempts by ISIS and Al Qaeda overtly funded by British and USA intelligence forces before receiving aid from Russia in 2016.
The same country that was able to contain constant subversive forces since this time and who recently declared the country to be peaceful enough for migrants to begin returning to their home. Bashar Assad, the President was a former military officer himself who seems completely lucid and informed in many of his conferences and speeches to rule out him going crazy, too.
This is the same Syria that had 8 years to rebuild itself knowing the forces such as Jabhat-Al-Nusra surrounding them and eager to take Aleppo/Damascas (and being fed great intel from the Russians).
It was this same nation that was conquered (in a strategic sense; get your newspaper here!) in just 10 days?
Syria’s State
I do not pretend to be an expert on current or historical features of the nation of Syria; but simply by viewing the surface-level situation of Syria, it’s viability as a functioning uniform state seemed murky at best. In reality, it really could have been 3-8 other countries within this territory divided along historical, linguistic, religious and tribal lines. This is an important point because if you’re going to set a trap by sacrificing your positioning, you best do it from an inherently weak point of positioning.
Despite this, the Syrian armed forces demobilized in a control manner uniformly throughout the country. What army would willingly give up if the return wasn’t greater than the risk?
Allegedly
The now-former Syrian President made a quick transition into Moscow who said he would continue his doctor career and allegedly a transfer of 135B dollars had been sent from Syria to Russia. It’s not clear whether this is more smearing by Western media outlets to justify this act by their Israeli masters, or whether this speaks to a deal that was planned by Russia and now former Syria.
Now
United Kingdom and United States governments are overtly funding terrorist rebel mercenary groups in Syria now and bombing other areas to expand the Israel land grab.
Hayʼat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS;commonly referred to as Tahrir al-Sham) is a Sunni Islamist political and paramilitary organisation involved in the Syrian civil war. These groups entered Syria on pick-up trucks. Another October 6th?
They left no time to waste in continuing their same old foreign policy using mercenary terrorist groups and other temporary actors under their thumb.
Weaken the Emerging Power
From the Western perspective, it’s advantages to create a never ending perimeter of “fires” or conflict, trapping the steady and predictable flow of people, goods and capital into the emerging powers, in this case we’re talking about Russia and Iran. Look at the neighbours in Iran and Russia and look where there’s currently conflict. This is a tactic that the US has been deploying radically in recent years, namely with the emergence of Finland and Sweden as NATO actors, political turmoil in Georgia, Moldovan election hacks and of course Ukraine.
Flipped?
The emerging forces could very well have conceded the lands of Syria to buy time for two eventualities to play out.
1) The Russians, Iranis and Syrians could be allowing the massive number of terrorist groups (Western-funded) to splinter for their own ideological ends and bite the hand that feeds them. This chaos and unpredictability of the mercenary groups is ultimately a financial strain on the West who already present record spending, [interest] debts and a shakiness amongst debt buyers. In other words, they could be allowing space for natural chaos to erupt to turn the tables on the Western + Israeli forces. This idea is further complicated if the United States were to have considerable problems at home (Subscribe to read more about this!), making it easier to disregard proper spending abroad. It is generating another Afghanistan that strained the Soviet Union to bankruptcy.
2) The natural chaos is much easier to fund their own proxies against Western forces in the region. As mentioned below, Erdogan and the West may have miscalculated Russia’s capacity to fund proxies indefinitely in the region. Over this time, Russia will continue to strengthen BRICS, purchase gold and advance in Ukraine.
It’s worth mentioning too that wars are not favourable with the US public now (in so far they matter). Please listen to the video below:
But Syria is strategic?
Syria is perfect for Western forces because of Israel to gain Mount Hermon, intercepting major trade routes, hold a position before going after Iran, obtain natural gas supplies for Europe. It was a long time coming for Western forces.
This attractiveness and no doubt losses to some trade routes may be the loss that they were willing to sacrifice to play the long game. Lose the battle, win the war.
Choosing Allies
Russian philosopher Alexander Dugin:
Syria was a trap for Erdogan. He made a strategic mistake. He betrayed Russia. He betrayed Iran. He was doomed. And now the end of Turkey has begun…There are so many ties between Russia and Turkey. Its behaviour is clearly in favour of Israel and the globalists now. It is sad. Russia is not so weak as the West wants to present it. I believe that was miscalculation on the side of Erdogan.
Turkey is in a huge position for Russia as a major energy hub and trade hub. China is building massive plants in Turkey as well. It is strange for them to stoke the flames on their border, but perhaps the consistent aid that is required to go through their territory is such a strain on their treasury they simply want an end to it.
I suppose however that the next line of conflicts in former Syria will be far more problematic for Turkey and their inflationary problem.
Proxies Against Proxies
The whole region is resembling Libya’s days of setting dozens of mercenary groups up and like the ants in a jar, shaking it violently.
Closing
Nothing seems to add up here for me here. Why would a capable and experienced army systematically fold? Why would Russia and Iran allow this to happen and why would the media bark over its success as if it were easy and the 10 years before it were nothing?
The Russian and Chinese way of fighting is to use other unconventional methods of warfare and to win through attrition. These military tactics are to be content with waiting out opponents to make mistakes, overspend, grow weak and unfocused to allow an opportunity for a kill shot. I believe, the formation of BRICS is such an act that suggests this to be true.
I believe retreating on Syria and seemingly giving strategic land will shape up to become a trap for Israel and the United States who will
- continue to waste more money/ debt spend to infinite (Afghanistan 2.0)
- indirectly kill the value of the dollar by having less buyers of bonds necessary to fund a forever war
- kill off capable, willing, young fighters leaving the army recruitment problem to manifest
- provide time until the mercenaries break off and start eating each other
- keep them distracted with military progress to ignore the serious threat domestically (SUBSCRIBE TO READ), chemical warfare, race and class war developing.
I could be wrong with this matter–but I appreciate you taking the time to read and allow me to present my opinion on the matter. Time will tell! In the meantime, I want to create more voices by allowing you to post your own content below!
