Morale is to the Physical as to 3 to 1-Napoleon Bonaparte
Morale
Definition
The confidence, enthusiasm, and discipline of a person or group at a particular time, especially regarding a task or a job.
I put the following question to people who's answer I believe will be well thought out:
What country(s) in the World Have the Highest Morale Right Now?
The answers i’ve received almost always come back to Russia, China and Turkey. There is little variation from these countries and all of the answers excluded countries from the Western hemisphere. What’s staggering to me is not so much that these are almost the only answers–but its the degree to which people struggle to name any countries at all. There are nearly 200 other options after all!
Why?
With years and years of shattering tradition, welcoming in foreign people (who may even be antagonist towards the culture), eradicating meritocracy & educational standards and letting subversive forces thrive over public opinion–many feel completely detached and foreign within their own country. What it “means” to be British, Canadian, American, French, German no longer resonates with the native populations. They no longer feel like the nation is something that they and their families are a part of and hence it’s no longer worth defending, supporting or contributing. If it’s a home for everybody, it’s a home for nobody.
Military Perspective
Consider the same question but try to only think of the morale of the military.
I do not know exactly what goes on inside of the Russian, Ukrainian, Turkish or Chinese ranks, but coverage and updates of USA, UK and Canada forces are quite bad. Covid policies have turned away numerous competent military personnel, especially from Tier-1 and Tier-2 units. Woke agendas and politically-oriented commands have consistently been flooding recruitment practices and weakening standards. While many still view the military as a viable option, it doesn’t carry the same prestige or challenge that it once had. News reports even covered a number of military veterans encouraging their sons and daughters to look elsewhere (in USA).
We’re also currently at a moment where Western military forces have never had this number of high-ranking officers, at a time when these forces haven’t been officially engaged in a war for well over a decade. Their solution for the last 10 years has been to throw more money at the situation with fancier and fancier equipment but should a serious conflict arise, the West is at a major deficit of recruits and arguably drawing from a much lower quality soldier.
Why People Say Russia?
Please read the case that I state on why Russia is perfectly positioned to be the next leading nation in the world (or especially regionally).
I personally disagree with my anecdotal results that Turkey is very unified at the moment and I believe China is in serious trouble economically, demographically and politically. We can see that major numbers of poor Chinese are fleeing throughout the West of the country
Example
I could find dozens and dozens of clips like this which I’m sure would come off as me appearing like a Putin fanboy; but the more significant takeaway I have is the contrast between this message and the ones that are told to citizens in Western countries that are outright treasonous.

Fun Brainstorm
Please review this little article post I’ve conducting, outlining that few people are willing to fight for any country now.
It’s interesting to go from country to country and brainstorm as to whether that place a patriotic, proud, mentally stable, homogenous and healthy population. I’ve just begun a little set of intellectual discussions with a friend where I’ll be uploading them soon–> One we will discuss is whether these countries should even exist (if they have no interest in being defended!).

Some cases like Mexico are unique. Mexicans are very proud of being Mexican. This is quite funny once you see how diverse Mexicans truly are, but most are happy about their ethnicity. At the same time, they do not feel attached to any form of governance or political structure to nearly the same degree as the East. Most are aware that there is no legitimate police force, politicians and narco members are one in the same and it’s a wildly violent country. In this sense, defending a “country” would not be in many people’s interests, whereas defending each other, could be; although history may beg to differ.
History
I am not a history expert, far from it, but I do have a keen interest in using history as an indicator for the future economic outlooks and macro positions. One observation I continually find is that history has no shortage of cases where a small, close-knit, supportive and ideologically uniform population defeats a much larger fragmented population. Perhaps times are different with technological increases–but for the time being robots are not the primary factor in determining a country’s future.
For the time being, attitudes, common culture, belief and agreement of fundamental rights and wrongs carry significant weight and may be an advantage that Eastern countries hold over Western countries that few people acknowledge. The West therefore, may be eagerly interested in tussling with these powers not realizing that they may be at a disadvantage.
There’s a joke that the UK army is screwed against Russians, not because of technology, size or fitness, but because one side doesn’t know which gender they are
My Reply
Without surprise, I also believe that Russia has the highest amount of morale out of all major countries. Serbia, is also a country worth mentioning since Serbs always fall back upon their proudness of their people. Thailand perhaps is another relatively neutral country that is a very conservative and unique culture who love their monarch; it’s quite difficult to destabilize Thailand. [Having said that, FIND OUT WHAT CHINA IS DOING TO THAILAND!]
Closing
I thought this brainstorming activity was very interesting for one main reason–the answers to who has the highest morale is not clear in the slightest. Countries are not what they used to be; they don’t have the same security, the same traditions, the same languages, the same people, the same economic structure, the same beliefs and philosophical compass. In other words, the nation as we once knew it, does not exist outside of its name on the passport and flag on the pole. It feels like everybody is waiting for something to happen or change for the better.
After awhile you begin to develop the patterns on how people (even not those who you’re speaking with) begin to feel about their birth country–the general consensus is that they are unhappy. It feels like few countries are the exception, namely those who are situated in the Eastern hemisphere and generally run antagonist to the United States.
